In-house casting processes
For over 35 years North American Casting Corporation has specialized in casting Aluminum and zinc. The processes we use provides high quality castings. See what processes fits you best below.
Tilt pour Permanent Mold – tilt pour helps control the metal pouring process. This helps with keeping the air inside the mold from causing porosity inside the casting.
Static pour Permanent Mold – as the name implies this molding process doesn’t move, also this process doesn’t fit all types of parts but is very cost affective if it does.
Semi-Permanent Mold – Uses shell cores for casting parts with under cuts, negative draft or hollow openings inside the part.
Coreless Die casting – normal die casting with mechanical metal cores
Cored Die Casting – Uses water soluble core for casting parts with under cuts, negative draft or hollow openings inside the part.
We have all these processes in both Aluminum and zinc. We also offer in-house cnc machining. North American uses top of the line late model Haas CNC machines. One of the biggest brag points we have on machining is our machines have Renishaw parts and tool probes. With our probing system we can make sure the machined castings maintain the dimensions required.
